Book Week

Last week KNS celebrated book week and on Friday we all dressed up as a book character. Room 8 had a lot of fun dressing up. Check out some our slide show

Police Car

Today Jakes Pop came to visit Room 8. He is a constable and he brought his police car. He showed us how to turn on the siren, and where the radio is. He also put the lights on they flashed red and blue. We also got to pretend that we were driving the car. Check out some of our photos.....

Snow Day

When I woke up this morning there was no snow in Kaiapoi and now it is fluttering down to earth covering it in a white winters blanket. Here are some photos of outside Room 8 this morning so you can see how the snow is settling. I hope that all the Room 8 children and parents have a warm day inside.

This week we are learning how to write non-fiction stories. We have been watching videos about reptiles and writing some stories about what we have learnt. Check out link under our writing blog to read some of our published writing!

Cross Country

Last Friday Koru syndicate participated in the school wide cross country. Finally all of the training that Room 8 had done was going to be put to some use. Kaden-Taua won the race between Rooms 7 and 8. All of the children showed the Values and Beliefs and tried their best. What an awesome race!

Elgregoe Comes to KNS

On Tuesday Elgregoe came to KNS to perform a few magic tricks and talk about bullying. Room 8 was really amazed by some of the magic tricks especially when he made it snow. Here are some photos of his visit

Farewell to James

On Friday we had a farewell party for James who is moving to a different school. James loves to play music and he was given a black ukelele which he soon played and sang to. We hope that James enjoys his new school and comes back to visit us soon! We will miss his lovely smile every morning.
